To faithfully recreate the sewing techniques and textures of the past, we use legendary machines such as Union Special and Singer, built between the 1890s and 1960s—restored and maintained for precision. At B.O.T, every piece is stitched entirely by hand, one at a time, by skilled craftsmen. The unique charm of pre- and post-war denim comes not from mass production, but from the delicate handwork of true craftsmanship.

B.O.T is dedicated to the challenge of faithfully recreating rare pre- and post-war denim down to the finest detail.

To revive the techniques of the past, uncompromising materials and meticulous craftsmanship are essential. In collaboration with Japan’s premier denim regions, such as Okayama, we reproduce selvedge fabrics true to the era—down to the yarn color and weaving methods. Over the course of roughly 15 months, each piece is carefully crafted to bring out the authentic texture that defines its timeless appeal.

The greatest allure of vintage denim lies in its fading and aging.

To truly capture this, simply imitating the fabric is not enough. Through a wide range of dedicated efforts, we deliver reproduction denim of the highest quality to our customers.

We collaborate with historic denim mills in Japan to recreate fabrics true to the originals. From yarn-making to dyeing and spinning, every stage is dedicated to reviving the authentic texture and feel of the past. Using this carefully reproduced fabric, each piece is then cut, sewn, and finished with the utmost care, one by one.
